ARE YOU SATISFIED WITH THESE SERVICES?
If you have experienced problems or are dissatisfied with any Premium Rate Service,
contact the Regulator on:

All complaints are dealt with in strict confidence.
Most Premium Rate Services offer value for money and do not generate
complaints. During the past year nearly 21.4 million calls were
made to the various services on offer, a very small number of these
evoked complaints from users.
- Were you satisfied with the service?

- Were you deliberately delayed on the line, prolonging
the call and increasing the cost?

- Was the information provided relevant and up to date?
|
- Were you offended in any way by the service?
|
- Did the service live up to the expectation created by
its advertising?

- Were you made aware of the cost of the service?

The above are just some of the problems which you may encounter
and is not a complete list.
Written Complaints:
If you have a major complaint or concern, please submit it in writing
giving the following details:
- The Premium Rate phone number and description of the
service

- Dates and times when you used the service*
|
- The exact nature of your complaint
|
- Where and when you saw or heard the advertisement for
the service. Note: it is always helpful when complainants
send a copy of the advertisement concerned.

- The cost incurred in making the call or calls**.

- Did you complain to any other relevant authority?

Please note you must make your complaint within 3 months
of the use of the Premium Rate Service. Exceptions to this
rule are at the discretion of the Regulator.

If you have a dispute regarding or concerning the call
cost of a Premium Rate Service please note that call changes,
however they arise are outside the remit of this office. See
Code of Practice for exceptions. Please contact the relevant
Service Provider.

Call Barring
If you would like to have Premium Rate Services barred from your
landline telephone, please contact your Network Operator. Some Network
Operators provide this service free of charge.
Warning on International "Adult" Services
"Adult" services originating in Ireland are strictly regulated. To circumvent
this, services are being offered from oversaes numbers.
These services do not carry Premium Rate prefixes and are recognizable
by the international prefix "00" followed by the country code, e.g.
592 - Guyana. Calls to these services are usually at full international
rates.
